Ukrainian Pentecostal Church

Pentecostal, as a Protestant religious movement emerged in the late XIX century and within a few decades, came to Ukraine.

In 1921, in Odesa, there was established the first Pentecostal congregation in Ukraine. In 1930 the Ukrainian Union of Pentecostal has been uniting more than 500 communities that have been going through severe repressions by the Soviet authorities.

At the beginning of 2020, the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church represented by 1,731 religious organizations, including 1,481 registered religious communities, which united into 26 regional associations. Church has more than 117,177 members, 1,285 houses of prayer, and 1,544 pastors of local communities. 

Preparation of the church ministers is performing in 20 religious training schools. The church has established 63 religious missions and charitable organizations. The children’s Bible studying takes place in 1,791 Sunday schools. The church maintains 27 orphanages and 90 rehabilitation centers, providing pastoral counseling in 99 prisons.
